Activity: Work/School State: Louisiana City: New Orleans MSY New Orleans Aiport 2003 |
Experience Repeatability |
Just being in New Orleans makes this middle-of-the-road airport a bit better. Dominant impression: construction goes pretty slow here. It's at least a half hour drive to town from MSY, and directions are fairly clear. |

Activity: Work/School State: Massachusetts City: Boston BOS Logan Airport 2005 |
Experience Repeatability |
Logan airport is a necessary evil. If you live right in Boston or Cambridge, it's okay, but otherwise you have to budget a solid extra hour for traffic or construction delays. The tunnels are the biggest pain (and $$ cost to go through), although the new Ted Williams tunnel is a big relief and definitely the tunnel to choose. No other alternative to the tunnels unless you're going far north on Route 1. The airport itelf is big, busy, and dirty. If only Providence was closer... |

Activity: Running State: Connecticut City: Bridgeport May, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Did the Bridgeport Hospital Homerun 5k starting at the Bluefish stadium, down around the water and back. Nice flat course for the first run of the year - was pretty hot and humid though. Cramped up in 2nd mile and had to walk some - finished in an embarrassing 34:47. Probably shouldn't have gone out drinking the night before ;) |

Activity: Work/School State: Ohio City: Cincinnati CVG Airport 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport is a major connections hub for Delta. Clean, open spaces. It's a shame to have to stop there when so close to other East Coast final destinations, but if you have to, it works. There's a big bar in the middle of the main terminal to relax before the next leg. |

Activity: Work/School State: Georgia City: Atlanta ATL Hartsfield-Jackson Airport 2005 |
Experience Repeatability |
This is a very large airport, but fairly pleasant for its size. One big downside - the taxi line is always very long. Good choice for a connecting flight as delays are rare. About 20 minute drive from airport to downtown Atlanta. |

Activity: Work/School State: Connecticut City: Hartford Bradley International Airport 2005 |
Experience Repeatability |
Not much to say about Bradley. If you live or need to go/stop over in Connecticut, it's fine, but it's a 1.5hr drive to Boston if you're considering it as an alternative. Providence is a better alternative to Logan than Hartford. |

Activity: Triathlon State: Florida City: Jacksonville Jacksonville Beach May, 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
This was the 'Sprint' format. Very tough, no doubt about it for a newbie. Maybe this tracking will help motivate for another. |

Activity: Fishing State: Connecticut City: New Haven Clinton August, 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
Fished out of Clinton harbor around Southwest reef. Going mainly for stripers but also blues. Mostly 3-waying eels off the bottom during drifts over dropoffs. Good day with several decent stripers. |

Activity: Concerts/Theaters State: New York City: New York City East Village, Manhattan May, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Caught a stand up comedy show at the Comeday Cellar on McDougal. 10$ cover, 2 drink minimum. Well worth it. The show very funny. Packed in a bit tight though. |

Activity: Hiking State: Connecticut City: New Haven Sleeping Giant Park May, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Took the dog again to hike up sleeping giant. Entrance across the street from Quinnipiac College in Hamden Ct. Nice wide, winding gravel trail to the top (about 30-45 min) where there is a small castle and clearing. Took a marked trail through the woods back. Got a little lost but found our way back no problem when we hit a road. |
