Diving here is superlative and worth the long airtrip and inquisitive customs passing. Stayed in Swiss hotel Movenpick and used their Dive Shop. Swiss puntuality much appreciated. Bedrooms with marble bathrooms, buffet breakfast, and not far located from the main drag. No cheap dining there. Best dive sites: Ras Kathy, Ras Mohammed, Thomas Reef(wall dive, impressive descent, strong current with and against), Gordon Reef (first aquarium type which gradually narrows to become steep wall, nice drift). Great diversity of interesting fish, many turtles and some sharks. How grateful I am

Fantastic dive site. Descended upon coral plateau teeming with fish. Turned around reef, then ended on a sheer wall for ~20 minutes. Saw LARGE turtle + white tip reef shark at safety. Shipwreck broken down on top of coral near site is impressive sight.

Very impressive wall drift dive. Several caverns in coral. LARGE green moray swam right by and into a deep cavern recess. Really impressive. Huge schools of small basslets (goldfish-looking fish)

Night dive, I think the spot is the same as 'Tower'. 2 free-swimming blue moray eels, free-swimming lionfish, slate-pencil urchins. OK dive.

Movenpick Hotel Restauran

The hotel's buffet for breakfast was fantastic. Definitely European style-fare with luncheon meats, etc. but I thought the fruits were fresh and the breads were excellent. Lots of juice choices, etc.

Drift dive. Lots of coral + fish. Am increasingly convinced this is the best diving anywhere.
