Activity: Work/School State: Georgia City: Atlanta ATL Hartsfield-Jackson Airport 2005 |
Experience Repeatability |
This is a very large airport, but fairly pleasant for its size. One big downside - the taxi line is always very long. Good choice for a connecting flight as delays are rare. About 20 minute drive from airport to downtown Atlanta. |

Activity: Work/School State: Nevada City: Las Vegas LAS McCarran Airport 2004 |
Experience Repeatability |
It's Vegas!! Of course this is a great airport, with slot machines in the terminal. The little subway between terminals is pleasant, as is the large luggage claim terminal with all the banners advertising shows and concerts. Lines can get a bit long if leaving at a busy time, but they do a good job moving people through. |

Activity: Work/School State: California City: San Francisco SFO Airport 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
Ugg, not a big fan of SFO - it does the job, but is never pleasant. BART will take you to the city, and access to your rental car is not too bad. It seems to me that SFO is best for big trips to Asia - I prefer Oakland for smaller trips to SF. |

Activity: Work/School State: Connecticut City: Hartford Bradley International Airport 2005 |
Experience Repeatability |
Not much to say about Bradley. If you live or need to go/stop over in Connecticut, it's fine, but it's a 1.5hr drive to Boston if you're considering it as an alternative. Providence is a better alternative to Logan than Hartford. |

Activity: Work/School State: Utah City: Salt Lake City SLC Airport 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
Salt Lake City is a nice smaller airport, like you might expect. The landing and takeoff are pretty if you have a window seat. Be prepared for it to be chilly if you step outside in the winter. The airport is relatively close to the city, although directions are not obvious. |

Activity: Work/School State: California City: Orange County John Wayne Airport 2006 |
Experience Repeatability |
John Wayne Airport (SNA) is not as good as you might think. Firstly, parking can be difficult. To park in the longer-term lot requires a ~10 min. bus ride from the other side of the 405 freeway to the terminal. The security gate line is also often long. On top of all this, the takeoff experience is intense as the local regulations require a 'steep ascent'. Unless you're close, not much benefit over LAX. One positive - the luggage pickup experience. |
