Did another 5k at the North Haven Irish Festival. Nice (very) flat and winding course beginning and ending at the fairgrounds. Weather was great - about 73 degrees and sunny. Improved a little (33:00) |

Activity: Fishing State: Connecticut City: New Haven Clinton June, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
1st outing of the year. Went out of Clinton Harbor to Southwest reef - fishing for stripers using live eels. Beautiful day; sunny, seas < 1 foot and wind < 5 knots. Caught 2 decent sized bluefish and 1 25" striper (too small to keep). Lost a bunch of rigs though, lots of lobster pots in this area. |

Fished out of Clinton harbor around Southwest reef. Going mainly for stripers but also blues. Mostly 3-waying eels off the bottom during drifts over dropoffs. Good day with several decent stripers. |

Activity: Hiking State: Connecticut City: New Haven Sleeping Giant Park May, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Took the dog again to hike up sleeping giant. Entrance across the street from Quinnipiac College in Hamden Ct. Nice wide, winding gravel trail to the top (about 30-45 min) where there is a small castle and clearing. Took a marked trail through the woods back. Got a little lost but found our way back no problem when we hit a road. |

Activity: Hiking State: Connecticut City: New Haven Chatfield Hollow St Park April, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Took the dog and went on a short hike at Chatfield Hollow park (Killingworth - off Rte 80). Actually more of a long walk around the paved parts of the park. Trails were muddy due to recent rain. Beautiful day. A little crowded since it was opening day for fishing and the streams/lakes were just stocked with trout (i think). |
