Activity: Fishing Country: Mexico City: Tijuana August, 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
8/4/07 - Went on my annual deep sea fishing on the Endeavor out of Seaforth landing in Mission Bay. Left at 10:00pm and started fishing at 5:30am about 60 miles south of SD - not quite TJ but didn't know what to name it. Caught a 22lb albacore tuna. Hooked a second but lost it in a tangle of lines. $205 for the boat. $6 to fillet and $20 tip. Breakfast and lunch included. Steve Kato gave me half of one of the 4 fish he caught. Gave out tuna on Monday and made poke too. Need a better recipe...want more spice. |

Activity: Work/School Country: Mexico City: Tijuana TIJ Airport 2007 |
Experience Repeatability |
Best access if you are coming from the states is through the Otay Mesa border crossing 15 miles west of the primary TJ crossing. Be VERY observant for directions coming back out other wise you can really get lost. TIJ Airport: Parking is expensive at ~$20 per day for convenient spots in the garage. Flights can be purchased same-day right there before entering the terminal. Benches are not comfortable but there is a friendly bar to wait in. |

Similar to yesterday's dive but more relaxing. Got very close to a turtle right after emerging from a swim through. Eagle ray in the distance. |

Similar to Palancar Horseshoe, but seemed a bit more grandiose. Watched a large turtle eating coral ~80' deep. |

Medium current pulled us along this great dive. Buoyancy was very comfortable. Note: El not diving because of pregnancy! |
