Salvatierra wreck! Ferry sunk in 1975 - large green fans, and soft coral growth on deck. Did not penetrate wreck, but enjoyed vision of massive numbers of small orange fish inside wreck, along fans encrusted on inside. HUGE moray eel in rubble on side. Large rubber tires w/ algae. Nice dive, lots of current though. |

Location: "Old Sea Lion Colony; Roca Lobos Vieja". Stayed in real shallows after Mom got scared of descending to site planned. But nice dive. -- Large moray eel. |

2nd half of dive was good. First half was annoying due to flock (sheep) factor. Stay away from groups! They kick up the bottom + detract from what is fun to look at, i.e. not people. Well, then Mom and I turned around and finished the dive well. Mom doing well! -- Lots of seals, fish, etc. Water temp very nice. Guide was Roberto Aguilar. |

First dive in the Sea of Cortez. Tropical-like fish - parrotfish, needlefish - even a school of barracuda. Los Islotes is a specialty for sea lions. Saw many of those, but they were not wildly friendly. Mom doing very well. From boat: saw 5 manta rays and 2 gray whales. |
