Dominica is not an easy island to get to especially if you're not from the East.(sleep over) The descent by plane over the peaks and forests is quite memorable. We went in May, few tourists and no fiestas. Few restaurants open outside hotel. Cars drive left so it's scary on the mountainous very narrow routes. We hiked to some waterfalls and lakes, not grand but good exercise- but they push guides on you hence expensive. It's not an easy island to visit. Diving is worth a return. Stay at the Fort Young Resort, in center if you are not diver; at Castle Comfort if you are one. |
