8/4/07 - Went on my annual deep sea fishing on the Endeavor out of Seaforth landing in Mission Bay. Left at 10:00pm and started fishing at 5:30am about 60 miles south of SD - not quite TJ but didn't know what to name it. Caught a 22lb albacore tuna. Hooked a second but lost it in a tangle of lines. $205 for the boat. $6 to fillet and $20 tip. Breakfast and lunch included. Steve Kato gave me half of one of the 4 fish he caught. Gave out tuna on Monday and made poke too. Need a better recipe...want more spice.

1st outing of the year. Went out of Clinton Harbor to Southwest reef - fishing for stripers using live eels. Beautiful day; sunny, seas < 1 foot and wind < 5 knots. Caught 2 decent sized bluefish and 1 25" striper (too small to keep). Lost a bunch of rigs though, lots of lobster pots in this area.

Fished out of Clinton harbor around Southwest reef. Going mainly for stripers but also blues. Mostly 3-waying eels off the bottom during drifts over dropoffs. Good day with several decent stripers.

Tried to find the big fish but ended up chasing yellowtail outside the peninsula. Very nice weather, not a ton of bites, expensive trip but worth it with good friends.

We stay at this killer place just south of San Felipe that's right on the water. We take the boat and buggies, fish from shore or boat (launch from the beach) and catch a TON of fish. Baja Rentals is the place to stay, the houses are right over the beach and a great place to hang out.
