 One of the few true lounges in Tucson, this is my favorite spot to go out in town. It has something for everyone, with a cocktail lounge in the front, a wine bar with patio behind that, and a larger live music area in back...also with a patio. Drink prices are amazing and bartenders are friendly and skilled. Crowd tends to be twentytothirtysomething, rather than UofA undergrads.

 Canal 125 is a bar/club/restaurant in the King's Cross (N1) area of London. It epitomizes the current transition of the neighborhood from sketchy to yuppie, as it sits right on the border between the new Regent Quarter development and the council flats off Caledonian Road. Highlights include an outdoor patio overlooking the Regent's Canal and a variety of mostly German beers on tap. The waitstaff is also mostly young and German and seem generally stylish but friendly. The menu is typical pub grub with a slight gourmet flavor. DJ's play on weekends when the pub becomes a club at night.

 A real dive bar on Morena Blvd., some strange characters. Has a pool table though and drinks are cheap. For people living around Clairmont area of SD, one of those every-three months kind of places.

 TU is more of a club than a bar, and fairly popular with expats in Taipei, although plenty of locals go too. Generally had a really fun time at this club, and it's open till about 4am. I spoke with someone more recently, though, who says it has lost some of its prestige in the Taipei club scene.
