Search & Recovery Specialty w/ Denver Divers.... Recover two objects (weight belts w/ marker) at bottom. Use lift bag to return object to beach. 1) Found both objects immediately but lost first one upon return with lift bag + object 2. 2) Very poor vis. John Gordon assisted in search and recovery for object 1. Passed course. |

Navigation Specialty 2: 6 buoys set at ~30ft. depth with direction markers (and distance) attached at bottom. Missed first three flags, had to surface. Repeated. Accurately navigated last 4 targets. "You've made it!" |

Navigation Specialty Course w/ Denver Divers. 1) Compass course from shore to white buoy (plane wreck) --- off target. 2) Compass course to buoy again --- off target. 3) Compass course from buoy to platform. Shifted west --- off target. 4) Compass course from 2nd platform to buoy ~100 ft. away. Great success! NOTES: Led three person group with rope, due to poor visibility. Nice plane wreck. |
