 Local pub and eatery in Allston/Brighton area. The food is OK, regular Irish fare, and the beers are reasonably priced. The pub is relatively spacious, with dark wood tables and benches. Kind of a 3rd date place. Location: O'Brien's Pub, 13 Harvard Ave., Allston, MA. Tel. 617-782-9082

 Pho Pasteur 137 Brighton Ave Allston MA (617) 783-2340 Pretty good, but a bit overrated IMO. Not much else around there for Thai.
